In the play Harvey, Ellwood P. Dowd reaches out and befriends
strangers. These strangers are often those on the margins. He welcomes all as
equal friends and invites them to dinner and fellowship in his home. Does the
pattern sound familiar? In today’s world of instant gratification it is not
surprising to find an alarming lack of follow-through on the Christian
experience. Persons make honest decisions for Christ but their journey to
Christian maturity is cut short. Come and join a Bible study sponsored by the
Drama Ministry that will look at the discipleship and pilgrimage of the
Christian walk. The class will start Sunday 18 Feb at 6:30 P.M. and will run
seven weeks to 1 Apr. The class will use a Maxie Dunnam book The Workbook On
The Christian Walk. This book can be obtained from the Cokesbury store in
Oklahoma City or on line at www.cokesbury.com, from www.upperroom.org/bookstore
or other book dealers. ISBN 0-8358-0640-5. The approximate cost is $10.00. There
will be small daily individual lessons as well as a weekly small group
discussion. This will be a wonderful Bible study to usher in Lent. Please plan
on joining us for this great series.
Please contact the
Director of Drama Ministries for more
