April 19, 2005

It’s April 19, a day we’ll never forget,

In our hearts a time of sadness which we’ll always regret.

It was an era of sorrow and tragedy to one and all,

We were fearful that evil would attempt to make our nation fall.

No one could imagine the horror right before our eyes,

How could anyone be responsible for seeing children die?

For days on end, the nation was mesmerized in front of the TV set,

We were looking for ways to help so that all the needs could be met.

Heroes were born from near and far,

In many a crown there’ll surely be a star.

Through the death and destruction, the nation came together as never before.

With such love and devotion we shared, it opened a new door.

Our prayers are with all those, whose loss was beyond reason,

But God in His infinite love has given all of us a new season.
