Quilts for the Homeless

Oct. 29, 6-8 PM and Nov. 2, 4-6 PM

At our youth meetings on these days, we will cut squares out of old clothes. Kathy Laughlin will teach us how to sew them into quilts. We will deliver them to homeless shelters around Christmas, when the weather gets cold. Help us make as many as we can. Start collecting old clothes!

Youth Work Force Weekend

Oct. 4, 9 AM and Oct. 5, 4-6 PM

Saturday, October 4, we will meet at the church and go to the Alexanders, where we will cut down and carry trees and tree limbs. Sunday, October 5, during our youth fellowship time, we will clean out a garage, install a garage door opener, do some landscaping work, paint a ramp, and work some more on beautifying the front of the church

The movie, "Fireproof"

The much anticipated release of this movie is almost here. This movie is made by the same church in Georgia who made the movie, "Facing the Giants" and is expected to be a blockbuster. It will be at the Harkins Theatre in Bricktown, Sunday September 28. It is about a fireman, played by Kirt Cameron, who faces choices about his career and his marriage and family. Your whole family is encouraged to come. Don’t miss it! It is FREE!

The musical, "Godspell"

This musical based on the parables of Jesus was a tremendous success and is being performed at O.C.U., Petree Hall. It is a little later than our usual Sunday night fellowship time, but it will be well worth it. I think we have the talent to perform this as our own witness. What do you think? The whole family is encouraged to come. The performance is FREE!

Game Day Party

The Red River shoot out should really be a good game this year, mainly because we are expected to win! Come watch it on the Jumbotron (also known as the big screen tv in the youth room). Bring your own game snacks.
